Swinging is the best way that I can describe this new project from The Spanish Harlem Orchestra. It is no wonder that this album won the 53 Grammy Award for best Tropical Latin Album. Oscar Hernandez Bandleader and genus again has outdone himself. This album swings from the first song to the last. I love each and every number on this album, but I do have a few favorites, which are, La Salsa Dura, Mi Herencia Latina, Como Baila Mi Mulata, Baila Latino and Regalo De Dios. - DJ Jeff Read more...

Sonora Poncena - "Trayectoria & Consistencia" Sonora Poncena has really did it this time. They have released one of the best albums I ever heard them do “Trayectoria & Consistencia”. I have every one of their albums and this one is awesome!!! I have no favorite song, the whole album is banging! The whole album is my favorite. I can say with certainty that trumpeter, bandleader, and Ray Barretto alumni Luis Gonzalez’s production, "Tributo a Un Gigante" (Tsunami Records) is one of the best I've ever heard, and most definitely a CD I'd want with me if I were stranded on an island (and lucky enough to have a waterproof CD player to deal with a veritable tsunami of Salsa–plus plenty of batteries, and feet that never got tired of dancing!).
